Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026
This site does not require an account, does not ask you for personal information, and does not sell any data. Here is exactly what is collected and by whom.
Analytics
We use an analytics tool to see aggregate numbers like page views and which country pages are popular — not to identify you individually. This may use cookies or similar local storage in your browser.
Advertising
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or via aboutads.info.
Your choice, in the EU, the UK and Switzerland
If your approximate location is in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay switched off until you accept them, and a short banner asks once. Rejecting is a real choice: the map, the comparisons and the games all work exactly the same either way, you just get non-personalised ads and no analytics cookies. Your answer is remembered in your own browser, so you are only asked once — clearing your browser's site data for this site makes the banner appear again.
Approximate location
We look up your approximate location from your IP address (via a third-party lookup service, ipwho.is) for two reasons: so the map can start centred on your own country, and to know whether to show you the consent banner above. This lookup only ever returns a country — never anything more precise — and is not stored anywhere; if it fails or is blocked by your browser, the map simply opens to its default view instead.
Local storage
The daily puzzle scores (Puzzle, Shape) are saved only in your own browser's local storage, so your score carries over between visits on the same device. This never leaves your browser.
